Anne-Marie and I have been preparing for this day for a long time; two years in fact.  We hope that all of our guests will enjoy this day as much as we will!  Details of the wedding day are provided below, including a couple pictures of the different locales.

The Ceremony

The wedding ceremony will be presided over by Father Joe LeClair at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Ottawa, Ontario. At the end of the ceremony, there will be an abbreviated mass for those who wish to participate.

The wedding party will consist of two people including: Jim's good friend from university Brett Brooking as the Best Man, and Anne-Marie's close cousin/housemate Cathy Spooner as the Matron of Honor.  Additional help will be provided by many of our friends and family.

Jim's friend Tom Hlavacek has quite a passion for photography, and has agreed to be the photographer at the wedding.  You won't be able to miss him, he will be the tall guy with all the cameras.  For our group photos, we have selected the flower garden at the Central Experimental Farm, near the Agriculture Museum.

Stay tuned, after the honeymoon we'll be posting pictures here from our wedding day.

The Dinner

After the ceremony, our dinner guests can take their time to find their way to Tudor Hall.  Cocktails will be served at the cash bar starting at 5:00pm, and supper will begin at 6:00pm.  Supper will be buffet style, so hopefully everyone will be able to find something to eat. 6:00-8:30 pm

The Dancing

After the dinnerware has been cleared away, and the speech givers can speak no more, the party will begin!  The cash bar will re-open, and the DJ will take over the festivities.  The DJ is from Quality Entertainment, and he'll be ready to take any of your song requests.  One thing is for sure, you can expect a polka and a square dance before the night is through!

The Sleeping

At some point in the evening, the party must end.  Anne-Marie and I will retire to some undisclosed location, and fall fast asleep.  For our guests who will be looking for accommodations for the evening, we have reserved a block of rooms at the new Days Inn Hotel that is a mere 5 minute walk from the reception hall.  Please make sure you reserve your room in advance, as the hotel will not hold the rooms any longer than a month or so before the wedding day.
